My clay work incorporates both natural and manmade objects and textures for design. I also use stamps and press molds. Inspiration comes from nature as well as items from everyday life.

As an artist, I enjoy working in

many areas of visual creative

expression. Ceramics however, has

always been my main focus.

Working with clay offers so many

possibilities. It can be manipulated

easily, yet sometimes offers special

challenges. I guess I like the tactile

quality that clay offers, as well as

its versatility.

I have been involved with art since

early childhood. I have taught art

in the public school system for over

32 years, having earned a masters

degree in art education from

Wayne State University.

Now retired from teaching, I am

focusing on the artist in me.
